RESOURCES

It's imperative that partners have the proper tools to outreach to their communities. Civic TN aims to provide our coalition with an arsenal of tools to connect, capture data, and organize.

TECH TOOLS

VoteBuilder VAN

VoteBuilder (VAN) is an online database that contains voter information. This database is used to generate lists to contact voters - or recently inactive/purged voters -by phone, door-knocking, or mail. We can track these interactions with voters, and generate reports and analysis for field efforts. VAN allows users to create lists for:

  • Virtual phone calling
  • Door knocking using mobile app MiniVAN

Nonprofits with 501 (c)3 designation can purchase a VAN account from State Voices for a deeply discounted rate of $750 per year. In the future, we might be able to offer this to partners for free.

For organizations without VAN accounts, you can request a list for door knocking and phone banks from our data director.

HUSTLE

Hustle is an app that makes it incredibly easy & fast for organizations to connect with their target audience via text messaging. Civic TN is offering partners access to this tool for free for civic engagement activities.

PROUD VOTER

Proud Voter is an online voter registration tool. Each partner can request a branded Proud Voter page with a unique link that captures data for those who register through their page. This information will be tracked by our data director to determine who ultimately ends up on the voter file. Data collected can be shared back to partners on a regular basis.
